You can read our full interview with the very great Laura Jane Williams here, but if you want to know how she’d spend her ideal day or what her favourite book is, look no further. Here are 5 quick questions for Laura.
Taylor Magazine: Are you dating at the moment?
Laura Jane Williams: Dating is really interesting! I met a guy in India and earlier on in the year I met a German guy who I was really enamoured with. Last summer there was a American guy in Rome… It tends to be fellow travellers. I would imagine that whoever my guy is he’s a traveller too.
Taylor Magazine: Words of wisdom?
Laura Jane Williams: I don’t judge myself and it’s really hard to do but once you stop labelling your behaviour as either good or bad, acceptable or unacceptable, you appreciate that it all is. I think it just becomes a lot easier to feel loving towards yourself. We’re so hard on ourselves.
Taylor Magazine: What’s your favourite book?
Laura Jane Williams: I’ve got like seven favourite books but I re-read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho every year. It’s just reminds you to have that balance between the pursuit, the adventure and relishing your ‘right now’ as well.
Taylor Magazine: Do you watch a lot of TV when you have down time?
Laura Jane Williams: I don’t! I read about all these shows like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad but don’t watch much! I’ve always watched Mad Men, I adored it. Then Girls obviously, I always catch up with Girls and I’ve recently just watched all four seasons of Suits. Totally fell in love with that show!
Taylor Magazine: If you had a day to spend anyway you want to, what would you do?
Laura Jane Williams: Pretty much what I do to be honest… not much! I would wake up and have coffee in an Italian café and I would walk around. My favourite thing in the world is a big meal for lunch where you have three courses, then you have coffee and then you come home and have a nap. My perfect day is a big, boozy lunch somewhere warm.
