There’s a world full of ‘easy’ recipes out there that require seven different spices, four different purées, and more fancy utensils than I can count. This recipe guide isn’t that. You might be looking for a recipe like this for a whole range of reasons. Maybe you don’t have the space for fancy ingredients, or the time to cook them. Maybe your local supermarket are out of stock, or you can’t get a grocery order for the next week (or three).
Fear not, dear reader! I’ve got your back. Here are some of Taylor Magazine’s tried-and-tested favourite (simple) recipes. Bon appetit!
Easy Recipe #1: Bean-Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
- Sweet potatoes
- Your bean of choice (we recommend black or kidney beans)
- Veggies – sweetcorn, mixed peppers, or tomatoes
- Cheese to finish!
This recipe has it all – it’s healthy, it’s filling, and most importantly, it’s tasty. None of these ingredients (bar the cheese) take up any fridge space, so can be kept out of the way in a cupboard ’til needed. What more could anyone want?
Easy Recipe #2: Chicken/Beef/Tofu Teriyaki Noodles
- Your meat (or meat substitute!) of choosing
- Udon noodles
- Teriyaki sauce
- Veggies – broccoli, mushrooms, and peppers
Okay, so maybe we’re cheating a bit with this recipe by using pre-made sauce. Hey, nobody’s perfect, and we promise you it’s worth it! The meal is a classic – you’ve got all of the essential nutrients in there, and it’s delicious, too. Win win!
Easy Recipe #3: Quesadillas
- Cheese (we recommend Queso Asadero or Monterey Jack)
- Pico de Gallo – chopped tomatoes, onions, and lime juice
This quesadilla recipe is so easy to make, and is definitely one to impress your friends. You’ve even got bragging rights for homemade Pico de Gallo! It’s fast, versatile, and tasty – add your own dips and sides for the ultimate customised feast.
