If you’ve found yourself stuck in a rut of cooking the same seven recipes on rotation every week, then you may be suffering from recipe fatigue. You have completely run out of new ideas and you stick to your safety blanket of the recipes you know. In some cases, this is not necessarily a bad thing. You know what you like so you are sticking to it! But it can get a little boring, and for those of us who enjoy trying something new, cooking the same few recipes takes all the fun out of the kitchen.

If this sounds like you then fret no more! We have whittled down a few tips and tricks to help you to get some creativity back into the kitchen.

Recipe books

Physical books are being neglected more and more nowadays. With everything being made digital, there’s no need for physical copies of books taking up space on your shelf, right? Wrong! There is nothing quite like flicking through the pages of a much loved recipe book, folding down the corners of recipes you’d love to try out. Why not by a recipe book and set yourself the challenge to make every recipe in it! This way you’ll discover lots of new recipes, some that you may love and some not so much. Keep track of which ones you really loved and once you’ve got through all the recipes, you’ll have a big bank of meals to chose from!

Meal kit services

There are so many meal kit services that get delivered straight to your door! Companies such as Gousto and HelloFresh deliver all the ingredients you need for the week, as well as the recipe card. You can completely personalise the meals to your taste preference and as well as learning new recipes, you may discover something that you never would have thought to cook! After you have finished the recipe, you can keep the recipe card and make it over and over again.

Social media

What better way to get inspiration then scrolling through food social media pages. You will find so many recipes to try out TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest – you won’t know where to start!
